Only certain kinds of merchants are authorized to accept pay pass presently ie: movie theaters, video rentals, parking garages, c-stores, food stores, dry cleaners and a few others. As far as the consumer is concerned it is the same as swipng your card except you tap the card against the reader and can choose to get a recepit or no receipt. YOu just pass it in front of the gas pump and get started. It's funny beacuse it cuts a 10 seond thing into 4 seconds, it really is nice convenience.
