Zend Framework

The Zend Framework was finally released today. It is supposed to be a “loose” framework in comparison to Ruby on Rails. It will be interesting to see how it compares to MVC frameworks PHP on Trax, Symfony, and Cake.

UPDATE: As part of his three-pillar strategy, Zend has also launched its Developer Zone, with articles, samples, and tutorials for PHP programmers.

    On top of providing an MVC framework, it looks like the Zend Framework is providing a lot of useful tools for feed parsing, web services, AJAX, and other hot technologies.
