		<description>I think there is definitely a correlation between an API and AJAX interface. If you build a REST web services API for your application, AJAX is easily woven into your web app as REST requests generally return XML which can be easily parsed with your JavaScript.

I wonder which is driving which (AJAX driving APIs or APIs driving AJAX). My bet is that it is the AJAX that is driving APIs to become available.</description>
