Utah State Fair

The Utah State Fair is here. It runs from Sep. 8-18 in SLC, and it’s sure to have something for everyone. This year the Fair used Napoleon Dynamite’s Jon Heder and Efren Ramirez, in character, as its spokesmen. I definitely got a kick out of their TV and radio commercials:

TV ad — Horses vs. Sasquatches
TV ad — Duels
TV ad — Old rides
Radio ad — Ninjas
Radio ad — Cakes
Radio ad — Sesquicentennial
Radio ad — Diary
Radio ad — Pedro’s Song

P.S. This year the Fair will be celebrating its 150th year — the sequin-ten-cen… ses-quin…

Its funny how much of a cultural icon those two have become. I’m really glad they invented horses though… can you imagine sasquatches running around all the time?

Hope you enjoyed your first ever state fair! You rock a small pink purse like no one else I know….and I mean that in only the best way possible. Sorry about the water fight
