In Doctrine and Covenants 58 the church purchased land for a temple in Missiouri (for the gathering of the people). Is that land Adam-ondi-Ahman? Does the church still own that land or does it belong to the Reorganized church?

Many thanks

I also am a MORMON, and feel Mitt was treated sooo bad and unfair. I worked for Mitt on his campaine, I flew to Utah from Temecula Ca. and met him there, there is not a better guy in the world than Mitt. He is so good inside and out. I am 76 years old and have voted several times in my life and there was never a man running that did a better job than Mitt would have done. I have several pictures of myself with Mitt and I am holding on to them as I know he will be Pres. some day. The Country needs hiom so bad.

I am trying to find a missionary that came to my home in 1991 to minister the extended word of god by the name of elder slimboski or slimbosky. I really wanted him to know how much he has really touched my life. If anyone know of a way that i can get in contact with hime please email me.

I know it was a long time ago but this really would mean alot if i could just contact him. He attended the mormon church on Lee Street. And I lived in the Carver Homes apartment complex.

Lincoln was no friend of the Latter-day Saints. He said nothing when the Saints were being persecuted in Illinois. Before the war, he said the Saints were "probably" in rebellion and added that they needed to be "coerced" somehow. kHe also condemned polygamy as "a relic of barbarism." As president, he signed the first anti-polygamy bill and appointed anti-Mormons as territorial officials, ignoring Church requests that locals be appointed.

Privately, Brigham Young was very critical of Lincoln. We must remember that there was a federal army garrison stationed in Utah, and many hostile federal appointees, who all kept a close ear out for anything that sounded the least bit "unpatriotic," so the Saints were very guarded in their public comments. Readers here may be interested in my article "Abraham Lincoln, the Mormons, and the Civil War" at:
